turbulent week at jovoto
What a crazy week! After our first press release lead to unexpected high interest in media we faced some turbulences. Interview was hunting interview and we decided to invite interested journalists to our office to introduce our idea and the vision of fair idea contests a bit more. The feedback was great!
We also contacted a lot universities in Germany, Spain and New Zealand to talk about the presence of commercial design-contests at universities, the result wasn’t surprising – nearly every university knew exactly what we were talking about and students would really appreciate a better/ more fair treatment of their intellectual property rights. We’ll get some more details sorted out and hopefully we’ll be able to ship some university-only contests based upon more fair set-up.
Apart from this the Creative-City-Berlin.net’s contest was launched last Monday and the Deutsche Bahn AG’s contest could surprise very early with some pretty smart and nice idea submissions like this one, done by jovoto-member Nina. We are stoked!
To get the craze completed we also pushed out an important release this week by which a lot of bugs and improvements are shipped. After our last week’s relaunch there are still some issues with the Internet Explorer but with less than 13% of our visitors using this browser (who the heck are you and get yourself a better browser they are free and easy to install – it is no magic!) we decided to take care of this after the relaunch. Expect the worst issues to be fixed within the next week and Thank you! for your feedback.
And as usual Berlin tries hard to distract us from our jovoto-’affair’, this time with the Popkomm, Germany’s most popular music conference which is going to end tonight with a smashing event: the Soundcloud release party at Picknick Club. If we don’t fall asleep right away, you’ll see us there – don’t hesitate and join us on a chilled drink.
