Hidden Roomie

This morning, our colleague Mirko discovered a small rip in his mouse pad. He took a close look at it, saw something purple, ripped his mouse pad open and freed this little fella:

I’ll be out now to get some lozenges and a hot-water bottle for our new penguin pal.

Greenpeace contest supported by LowCarbonEconomy.com

For the current Greenpeace contest on jovoto’s platform, jovoto is teaming up with LowCarbonEconomy.com, the right partner for this very exciting contest that aims for the reduction of carbon dioxide.
LowCarbonEconomy.com and jovoto share the values of crowd-sourcing, mass collaboration and web2.0 to solve real-world problems.

Next Mission: Greenpeace

Yesterday, another challenging contest started on jovoto’s platform: The early birds’ next mission is to find a sharp and yet smart and positive way to communicate a new taxation system for company cars developed by none other than GREENPEACE!!
Germany’s taxation system benefits company cars for economic reasons…fair enough! The problem is that the current system [...]

For Glory – For Sure

jovoto’s contest “For Glory” is up and running for two weeks now. In this very short period of time, the early birds have submitted 125 amazing works of art! I am pretty sure that not only the team is speachless whenever we see that a new submission has been uploaded. If we haven’t said that [...]

Meet: HighlandBagpiper

For a while now we have been wanting to interview one of jovoto’s most active early birds – the HighlandBagpiper! According to all the positive feedback the HighlandBagpiper gets, we believe that not only we are huge fans of him and his artwork but that many of his fellow early birds want to get [...]

CCB – a thrilling neck-and-neck race

The jury had to take a very difficult decision this morning in Berlin: from the TOP 10 logos, chosen by jovoto’s community, the jury finally picked the logo for Creative City Berlin. After a couple of rounds, it came down to two logos with a tie: empuls’ skyline and lefelmann’s creative city circles. Since the [...]

For jovoto’s health

Since it is much healthier to work seated on a sitting ball, our collegue Daniel organized one of those.
Due to the lack of an air pump, Daniel had to train his lungs today:

It looks like hard work, but I have to say that he was a tad happier afterwards as well ;)

jovoto on TV

Last week, a couple of journalists from the German TV station n-tv visited our office and shot the following documentary on young start-ups and of course jovoto:
http://www.n-tv.de/1057383.html
It’s in German only, too bad for our non-German readers. And: Yes, it IS absolutely weird to see oneself on TV.

Crazy Monday

There must be a reason why there are so many songs about Mondays:
The Bangles: Manic Monday
The Boomtown Rats: I don’t like Mondays…
The Mamas & The Papas: Monday Monday
Somehow the topic hip hop is present at jovoto ever since one of our developers (Daniel) declared out of the blue that he doesn’t want to have any [...]
